Legal Requirements

For the wedding ceremony, certain legal documentation must be submitted at least one month before your wedding date. The required documents include:

An English translation of the Marriage Certificate.
A copy of the birth certificate (the original will be required one day before the ceremony).
A copy of a valid passport (the original will be needed one day before the ceremony).
The name, address, and occupation details of both partners.
The name, address, and occupation details of each partner's parents.
An affidavit signed by a solicitor (with company stamp) to verify the marital status of both the bride and groom prior to the ceremony.
If either party is divorced, a Decree Absolute must be provided to confirm that the previous marriage was lawfully terminated.
If either party is widowed, a Death Certificate of the previous spouse is needed.
If either party has undergone a name change, legal proof must be submitted.
